4U Rack

A 4U rack refers to a server rack unit that is four rack units (U) high, with 1U equaling 1.75 inches (44.45mm). Therefore, a 4U rack is 7 inches (177.8mm) in height. It is used for housing servers, network devices, and other hardware in data centers or IT environments. The “4U” size provides more space for cooling, hardware components, and expansion compared to smaller units like 1U or 2U, making it suitable for high-performance or more complex equipment.
